The Steingraeber 138 is the flagship upright piano from one of Germany’s most prestigious piano builders. Designed to rival and even surpass the tonal and dynamic capabilities of many grand pianos, the 138 is the upright of choice for concert artists, conservatories, and recording studios that demand uncompromising sound in a compact form.

At 138 cm tall, this model offers a soundboard and string length comparable to a 160–180 cm grand piano. It delivers breathtaking projection, deep bass, and an expressive tonal palette, capable of meeting the demands of even the most advanced repertoire.

The Steingraeber 138 is individually hand-built in Bayreuth, Germany using time-honored methods and the finest materials. It has the SFM (Steingraeber Ferro-Magnet) action, offering grand piano-like repetition speed.

The piano is available for sale in our Oxfordshire showrooms alongside another used Steingraeber upright, a 130cm model, so the two make a wonderful comparison.
